I'm super excited to share this blog post with you all because I am so grateful to have been apart of such special moments this weekend. In the last 72 hours, I witnessed a beautiful wedding and also got to spend time with my little cousin as she officially entered into adulthood, #TayTurns18.
As always my weekend started on Friday night after work I rushed home to walk the dog and then met up with my older cousin. We were meeting up to carpool over to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my baby cousin's 18th birthday. Tay is the beautiful daughter of my older cousin Toni (you may remember her from this blog post here). Growing up I spent a lot of time with Toni so it is so surreal to see the gorgeous smart daughter she has raised. Eating dinner with Tay and her friends also brought me back a few years ago to remember freshman year with my friends. It's so crazy how quickly time flies by but also how certain friendships develop and take you into new seasons together.
Five years ago when I was a freshman in college I met one of my best friends in college Aly. At the time I thought she already knew the love of her life but the world had a way of showing us all otherwise. I learned so much from my dear friend Aly: when you work hard and always strive to improve yourself and do what's best for you, the world will reward you.
This weekend I am so grateful to have witnessed Aly and Gio's beautiful fall wedding. Throughout the whole wedding I was so mesmerized and proud of my friend so finding and holding on to true love. Surprisingly enough this moment snuck up on all of us. While some of us feel like we're too young to fall in love and tie the knot there are others who are fully embracing and stepping forward in the name of love.
Personally, right now it's hard for me to envision myself married. Most because I've been single for over 4 years now. But I know when the time is right everything will fall into place perfectly.
Until next time friends!
