I'm writing this post 6 hours away from the New Year. You guys I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST 2018 went by. I had an incredible time with family and friends this year. I grew my relationship with God. I became stronger and learned how to stand up for myself in regards to dating. I'm learning to lean more on my intuition and gut feelings.
When I think of the girl who I was in the beginning of 2018 I see a completely different woman mentally and spiritually now.
At the beginning of the year I was soooo focused on being in a relationship with someone. I would go on tinder dates and hold on to people that wouldn't do the same thing for me. Now I'm sooooo focused on growing my online passions like YouTube, closet sales, and of course this blog. If a relationship comes, great but I'm nowhere near as focused on it as I was at the beginning of the year. I'm also wayyy more in tuned to developing stronger friendships and deepening my relationship with the Lord -- and that I can honestly say thank you to the small group of ladies I met with on a weekly basis this year. Probably the highlight of the year was the stronger relationships I built with these women. It's so amazing what God can do in your life especially when you fellowship with others who love Him.
You guys see the highlight reel but this year definitely came with some struggles as well. My condominium suffered with a huge pest infestation which had me questioning a lot of my life choices (hahaha). I also lost a great aunt of mine, which took a huge toll on me mentally. I got in a car crash and also didn't have the best year at my job. Physically I had my struggles with getting in shape this year but I am hoping to change that 100% next year. Stay tuned. Oh yeah and I compared my life waaaaaay to many times to other people on the internet one to many times.. can anyone relate???
But through all these struggles I've learned to keep pushing and that there's still a lot of life ahead of me. I hope you had some time to reflect over the past few days over 2018. If you haven't be sure to take some time to do so. You may be surprised at how much has happened. I sure was.
Wishing you all a happy and safe New Year.
Love,
Shannon
