I'd like to believe that I'm that person who has it all figured out, but I'm not. I'm actually FAR from that. On the days where I felt like I had it all together these were some thoughts that I knew if I could commit to them, I could get a lot more stuff done.
WORKING SMARTER NOT HARDER [tips for a 24 year old]
laundry: who wants to do it? no one. who wants to get paid to do it? someone. I feel like I'm at a point in my life where laundry is the last thing I want to do. It just puts a debbie downer on my whole day when I think of having to commit to spending a day doing laundry. IF I WAS TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER I WOULD: pay someone else to do my laundry.
ordering groceries: I tried ordering groceries this year for myself and it was by far one of the best things I did. Having someone shop and deliver my groceries to my door took out time from my day and extra steps from having to walk up and down the stairs. Call me crazy if you want but IF I WAS TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER I WOULD: pay someone to grocery shop for me.
Voice to text: This was how I got going on my blog post in the beginning. I noticed that I really wanted to blog but it took a lot for me to sit down and blog after a long day of work. On my way home I had so much to talk about though, so I opened up the notes app on my iPhone and started speaking into my phone. 2 minutes later I had a clear mind and a new blog post! Genius. IF I WAS TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER I WOULD: say all my blog posts, not write them.
store pickup: if you haven't tried this, you need to start. This has got to be the best way to work smarter. Paying someone to pick up everything you need at the store and have it waiting for you by the time you get there is genius. Walking through the store means you will spot something you don't need, but like it enough to pick it up and buy it. This waste time. And this waste money. Two things that are so crucial to working smarter and harder. IF I WAS TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER I WOULD: always use store pickup when it is available.
And there you have it. On my quest to make 25 a productive AF year I am hoping to use these tips. Call me lazy. Call me crazy. But we all know one thing: Rich people pay for their time, while poor people sell there time. Which one are you?
Better question, which one would you like to be?
