Night at the HOLLYWOOD bowl

It's not every Wednesday night that you get amazing box seat tickets to the Hollywood Bowl.

Hollywood Bowl
George Benson at the Hollywood Bowl, August 29, 2018

It was right before George Benson went on stage when I got up from our seats to go buy some french fries. My best friend Trinity and I had rushed to get to the show after work, so we weren't able to bring our own food in (my favorite part about visiting the Hollywood Bowl).

My second time at the Hollywood Bowl felt just as magical as the first. I'm always amazed at how this beautiful "bowl-like" stage is tucked into Hollywood and how the sound bounces on the stage and stays trapped inside this little pocket of Hollywood.

While I was standing in line for my french fries, I couldn't help but stop and think about perfectly perfect life was at that moment. I've learned when you turn 25, life has a funny way of making you feel old and like you've wasted so much time and haven't accomplished anything.

Sometimes we get so caught up in others' success stories that we forget to recognize our own; or even worse: we stop writing ours.

Lately I've been under the impression that we don't have enough time and that I have to rush to find my dreams in order to get to exactly where I'm supposed to be in life. I look around at others and feel like dang I'm behind but in reality:

There's so much more life left to live.

I'm just having fun right now.

I still haven't fell in love

I haven't birthed a life.

I'm not in my dream career.

There is still so much life left to live.

I have not the slightest clue why I get these deep thoughts when I'm out and about, but I'm happy I do. I just love recognizing how beautiful life is and how much better it gets when you pause and become grateful for every moment.

While I would love to tell you about my experience at the Hollywood Bowl, there's not enough words in the world to describe exactly how that place feels. You just have to go and experience it yourself.

Until next time,

xo - Shannon
