#15 [ I stopped beating myself up for old friendships ]

As mentioned in the last post, friendships were something I focused on a lot this year. As much as I wanted to save all my friendships at some point I realized I couldn't. At some point I realized it's better to focus on the true friendships that I do have rather than trying to keep friendships going with everyone. Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I wrote everyone that I used to be friends with off. No, not at all. Unless something happened, I still consider myself friends with a lot of people; I just stopped trying to force friendships. I guess that's the best way of saying it. There would be times when I felt as if I was the only one trying in certain friendships. So I stopped trying. I also stopped beating myself up for it. I used to think that I was the reason my friendships were drifting apart but then I remembered friendship is a two-way street. As much as I thought I could save it all myself, I finally realized it takes two to tango.
