This weekend I found myself cozied up underneath my blankets for a majority of the time. I was under the weather with my first sinus headache and needed some rest. February has been quite the month for me, with my birthday weekend and a trip out of town, I was beat. This last weekend of the month I was looking forward to staying home and doing absolutely nothing. Until Friday morning, I noticed a little bug crawling around in my kitchen. This was the second bug I had seen this week.
Unfortunately, my condo complex is having a bit of a pest problem and it has been affecting my unit. So I didn't go to Target to get anything in the picture above, I went to Target to get some bug spray (and then the Tylenol for my sinus headache). Of course I couldn't just buy what I needed. Target prides itself on having an average basket size of around $30. I spent $32.
I purchased the Maui Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner because I saw it on Instagram (hey, influencer marketing works!). After trying it out today it has automatically become a staple in my hair regime. This shampoo and conditioner is life!
The Halo Top ice cream was 2/$7.. I could not pass that up. Especially since they had my favorite flavor in stock.
Everything else was necessary, including the non-pictured bug spray. I beat myself up pretty hard this week for having to deal with this bug issue. While its not as bad as it could be, it has definitely gotten under my skin and prevented me from being productive. I felt overwhelmed and like I had to much pressure on my back to do all the things I wanted and needed to do (clean/do laundry/go to the bank/workout/eat/blog/vlog/edit/etc/etc/the list goes on and on).
I finally came to terms that I just needed help. So I hired a cleaning crew to clean my home so I could focus on other things. This was something I never thought I'd be doing, especially at age 25; but I'm happy I did. I always thought that you should be able to clean your own house and that people who had cleaning services were just lazy. Boy was I wrong.
Asking for help gave me peace of mind. It also helped me to FINISH something that needed to be done. If you ever find yourself feeling extremely overwhelmed don't be scared to reach out and ask for help. No matter how simple the task is there is always someone out there who is willing to help (especially if they're getting paid for it). Also, remember anytime you're feeling overwhelmed there is a place where you can shop your feelings away, and that place is called Target.
